The 1,254 square metre outlet is on the site of the former Elecctrocoin factory and Texaco petrol station. The investment is creating 30 jobs, with staff being paid a rate of £8.53 an hour. The store will be opened by three times world champion and London 2012 Olympic gold medal winning cyclist Danielle Rowe. Aldi currently has more than 40 stores in Wales, employing more than 1,250. The company has set its sights firmly on 44 areas and is looking to open stores stretching across the whole of south Wales. Fletcher Morgan acted for the Vendors of the site.
